WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Victoria Spartz (R-Ind.) and Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia (D-Texas) introduced the bipartisan Elder Abuse Protection Act today to shield American seniors from criminals and fraudsters.
The bill directs the Attorney General to establish an Elder Justice Initiative within the Criminal Division of the Department of Justice. The initiative will focus on criminal enforcement and public engagement efforts to combat abuse, neglect, and financial fraud scams that target the elderly.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Representative Spartz (R-Ind.) introduced legislation to end the practice of “sue-and-settle,” which is a tactic used by the executive branch that undermines the Administrative Procedures Act and costs taxpayers billions.
The Sunshine for Regulatory Decrees and Settlements Act of 2021, introduced alongside Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), shines a light on “sue-and-settle” litigation and restores the transparency, public scrutiny, and judicial review protections of the rulemaking process.
NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – Rep. Victoria Spartz’s office will be hosting regular community office hours in Zionsville starting Wednesday, April 21. Zionsville and the surrounding area residents can walk in to meet with congressional staff to receive help on any federal issues.

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – Congresswoman Victoria Spartz (IN-05) worked with a bipartisan delegation of Indiana lawmakers to send a request to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to provide a status update on producing broadband coverage maps.
The last time the FCC worked on the broadband maps, they became obsolete by the time they were completed, so the previous Congress passed the Broadband Deployment Accuracy and Technological Availability (DATA) Act, providing $98 million to address this issue.
