WASHINGTON – This week, Congresswoman Victoria Spartz (R-Ind.) sent a follow-up letter to Acting FCC Chairwoman Rosenworcel requesting a timeline for the completion of broadband maps capturing the nation's access.

"Reliable broadband connectivity is the essential link for my constituents and Americans across the country for improved access to jobs, education, healthcare, and economic development opportunities." said Rep Spartz. "It is long past due for the rural digital divide to be closed."

CARMEL, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD) and the Region 5 Workforce Board, in partnership with the office of Congresswoman Victoria Spartz, will host a virtual job fair highlighting job openings in Hamilton and Madison counties. The virtual job fair will take place on Wednesday, October 6th from 11:00am – 12:00pm.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the House passed the EQUAL Act, a bill that reduces the sentencing disparity between crack and powder cocaine from 18:1 to 1:1, co-sponsored by Congresswoman Spartz.

“Today, we fixed a disparity in sentencing which led to the disproportionate incarceration of lower-income individuals for longer terms,” said Rep. Spartz. “Equality of justice and rights is the cornerstone of our Constitutional Republic, and I am proud to co-sponsor this bill as a member of the Judiciary Committee."

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Consider Teachers Act, a bipartisan bill introduced in the Senate by Senator Mike Braun (R-Indiana), Senator Kyrsten Sinema(D-Arizona), and in the House by Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton(D-D.C.) and Congresswoman Victoria Spartz(R-Indiana) aimed at fixing a broken system burdening teachers with unfair loans, passed the U.S. House of Representatives today by a vote of 406 to 16. This legislation was passed in the Senate in April and now heads to the President’s desk to be signed into law.
