Fishers, IN – Last week, Rep. Spartz announced KJ Sawada, Fishers High School Junior, as a winner for the 2022 Congressional App Challenge (CAC) for Indiana’s 5th Congressional District. KJ’s app called the “Class Tracker” tracks each class a student has taken in high school and calculates the credit requirements for graduation for different diplomas.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Consider Teachers Act, a bipartisan bill introduced in the Senate by Senators Mike Braun (R-Indiana), and Kyrsten Sinema (D-Arizona), and in the House by Congresswomen Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) and Victoria Spartz (R-Indiana) aimed at fixing an unintended and burdensome provision in the Higher Education Act, was signed into law by President Biden this week.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Consider Teachers Act, a bipartisan bill introduced in the Senate by Senator Mike Braun (R-Indiana), Senator Kyrsten Sinema(D-Arizona), and in the House by Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton(D-D.C.) and Congresswoman Victoria Spartz(R-Indiana) aimed at fixing a broken system burdening teachers with unfair loans, passed the U.S. House of Representatives today by a vote of 406 to 16. This legislation was passed in the Senate in April and now heads to the President’s desk to be signed into law.
