Spartz and other commissioners for the U.S. Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe will travel this weekend to Munich, Germany to attend the Munich Security Conference, Nuremberg, Germany to hold a field hearing on Russian war crimes against Ukrainian children at the historic Courtroom 600, and Vienna, Austria for the Winter Meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly representing over 50 nations.
Muncie, IN – Today, Rep. Victoria Spartz (IN-05) honored Vietnam War veteran Roy Springfield with two military awards: the National Defense Service Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. Mr. Springfield served as an Army sergeant in the Vietnam War and was one of the last soldiers to leave his base. As he was exiting the base, Mr. Springfield managed to secure an American flag, rescuing it from enemy hands.

Carmel, IN – Today, Rep. Victoria Spartz (IN-05) announced Jasper Zhu of Carmel High School as the winner of the 2023 Congressional App Challenge (CAC) for Indiana’s 5th Congressional District. Jasper’s winning app, "I Pooped There," allows users to find the cleanest public restroom wherever they are located. Jasper and his teammate, Jackie Wei of California, used JavaScript to create their mobile app.
