Spartz's Resolution in Support of the People of Ukraine Passes House of Representatives
WASHINGTON – Today, the House of Representatives passed with near unanimous support H. Res. 956. U.S. Representative Victoria Spartz (R-IN) led the bipartisan resolution along with Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Gregory Meeks (D-NY).
This resolution demands an immediate cease-fire and the full withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukrainian territory and expresses unequivocal support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. It also backs the continued use of sanctions to fully isolate the Putin regime economically, urges the Russian Federation alongside United States allies and partners to guarantee safe passage out of the country, and urges the United States and its allies and partners to deliver additional and immediate defensive security assistance to Ukraine.
