Spartz Requests Concrete Timeframe for Broadband Maps

October 1, 2021

WASHINGTON – This week, Congresswoman Victoria Spartz (R-Ind.) sent a follow-up letter to Acting FCC Chairwoman Rosenworcel requesting a timeline for the completion of broadband maps capturing the nation's access.

"Reliable broadband connectivity is the essential link for my constituents and Americans across the country for improved access to jobs, education, healthcare, and economic development opportunities." said Rep Spartz. "It is long past due for the rural digital divide to be closed."

The letter comes in response to Acting Chairwoman Rosenworcel's reply to the Congresswoman’s April 5 letter regarding the FCC's continued efforts to address broadband access, the Broadband Data Task Force, efforts to implement the Broadband Deployment Accuracy and Technological Availability Act, and the Commission's Broadband Data Collection Website.
