Spartz: Federal Emergency Assistance Approved for Indiana by President Trump

Noblesville, IN – Today, Rep. Victoria Spartz (IN-05) announced that President Donald Trump has approved a federal emergency declaration for Indiana following historic flooding and severe weather affecting communities across the state.

The Presidential Emergency Declaration makes federal resources available through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to supplement state and local response efforts, including lifesaving and emergency protective measures to address immediate threats to lives, public health and safety, and property.

As damage assessments continue, Indiana is expected to apply for a Major Disaster Declaration in the next few days to seek additional federal recovery assistance for affected communities and individuals. Rep. Spartz will continue working with the Governor, the Administration, FEMA, and local officials to support that request and ensure affected Hoosiers receive the assistance they need.

Rep. Spartz has been and will continue to be in direct communication with federal, state, and local officials to help coordinate the response.
