Congresswoman Spartz Introduces CRA Resolution to Nullify Federal COVID Vaccine Mandate

November 17, 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Spartz, along with Rep. Fred Keller, Republican Leader of the Workforce Protections Subcommittee, introduced a Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution to nullify the Department of Labor's ‘‘COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Emergency Temporary Standard."

This standard would mandate that companies employing over 100 people must require their employees be fully vaccinated or show a negative test at least once a week.

"This burdensome and unconstitutional federal regulation would infringe on the rights of private employers and employees. It also reaches far beyond the scope of the Administration's authority and should be nullified by Congress," said Rep. Spartz.

Text of the Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution:

"Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That Congress disapproves the rule submitted by the Department of Labor relating to ‘‘COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Emergency Temporary Standard” and such rule shall have no force or effect."
